Take That and Lionel Blair are set to open the Northern Distributor Road when it is completed in the summer.
The Norwich Northern Distributor Road is set to be finished in June 2017. This will coincide with Take That performing at Carrow Road so Norfolk County Council (NCC) have asked the group to open the road.
A stage is going to be erected at an end of the new road, where Gary Barlow and the two other group members will perform. NCC have said that if the slowly decreasing in number group decreases anymore, Barlow will perform solo, still singing Take That hits as no one remembers his solo work.
NCC have informed us that in case of any setbacks, the boy band will perform whether or not the road will be fully finished. Depending on the finished state of the road, they will either sing Patience or Could It Be Magic?.
Lionel Blair has been asked, for reasons not known, to perform. A friend close to the star has said that Lionel is now practicing a new flamboyant dance routine to start off the opening ceremony.
It is thought that the dancer will tap the whole length of the road and then, at the end, will perform some sort of Norfolk inspired dance.
The Norfolk inspired dances rumoured to be included are; the famous turkey tap, the Mile Cross Mamba and the Cromer Crab Calypso.
Viewing points will be positioned at each new roundabout for members of the public to cheer on Lionel. Spectators will be handed out washing up gloves to wear and wave in honour of Norwich legend Marigold.
Tickets for the opening ceremony will be free and be available online on a first come, first served basis.
